How long do speakers last on MBP?

Do they take awhile before the blow and become useless? Are they easy to replace?
 
I've blown one on a previous laptop, or I blew the soundcard, I can't remember, but either way the right speaker did not work.
 
i second all that, ive never blown a speaker either, its not a part thats suppose to be replaced...ever
 
imagine it now, replace your MBP speakers with a 1" Alpine, and external AMP :)

the Mac speakers probably dont get enough power to blow, they are tiny.

Actually a lack of amplifier power is what causes most speakers to blow, not too much power. If an amp doesn't have enough juice it can start putting out distortion instead of good normal sinewaves. Distortion is what kills the speaker itself, and that's the amp's fault.

It's definitely possible if you push things into distortion long enough. "How long" is an exercise left to the reader. My guess is "not long".
