I have a few PDF files, some of which have A4 portrait pages in them and others have A4 landscape pages in. Is there any software (ideally free) that can combine these files into one single PDF file?

Thanks :)

There are a bunch of different ways to do this. In fact it looks like there is a way you can do it with Automator.

Do a Google search for "combining PDFs macintosh" and a bunch of (free) ideas pop up.

I've found the combine PDF action in Automator (Tiger version), but I can't seem to get it to work properly...

I've got as stage 1 "Ask for Finder items", then as stage 2 "Combine PDF". I run it, and then I can't find the combined file anywhere...

Any tips/hints as to what I might be doing wrong?

I am curious about this too, but fortunately I am running leopard. Where do I drag and drop the file?

1.) Make sure the sidebar is shown, can press this button if it is not
2.) Drop the file into the sidebar

Then file - save as .pdf there you have 2 -> 1

xUKHCx unfortunately I tried your method and it didn't work, I should note that I'm trying to combine multiple pictures into one PDF file. Every time I save, it only saves the first picture alone into a PDF. Keeping in mind that I made sure that I have all pictures highlighted before doing the SAVE AS.

Anyways, I tried the Combine PDF and it worked perfectly for pictures and PDFs. ;)

Thanks,

Use the File -> Print -> PDF... option on bottom left and Save as PDF to save all the documents into one PDF! :):apple:
