Encoding with Roxio

I have a iMac G5....and I downloaded several movies using Cabos.
I use Roxio Toast- version 7- 8....but I seem to be having trouble burning .wmv only.
When it tries to ENCODE, it reaches to the end and the "software stops responding"
What should I do?
This only happens when I am burning .wmv files.
