Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could help me. Yes? No?

I am pretty new to MAC and this forum, so please forgive if I have posted in the wrong place!

I would like to download a program that is telling me I need to have

Mac OSX 10.4 and up....(I am o.k. there @ 10.5.2)
next line: 512 MB of RAM
next line: at least 50 MB of available hard disk space

Can someone help me with figuring out the RAM and hard disk space?

I have a MBP.....I am sure I need to look in the "about this MAC section, but am not computer literate enough to decipher what I am seeing!

thanks in advance
norine

if you have a MBP, you should have a min of 1gig ram and certainly more than 50mb of hard drive space.

to get all of your info, just go to Applications>Utilities folder> System Profiler and that'll give you all the little details.

Look in About this Mac...Memory is ram probably 1 or 2GB. MBP come with at least 1GB. Do "Get Info" on your main hard drive disk from the desktop to see available space. There should be no problem. You'd be in trouble if you didn't have

If you go to the Apple Menu-> About this Mac, there is a line labeled Memory, if it is 512 MB or higher (1GB = 1024MB just in case the unit is different) you are good.

Since you have a MacBook Pro, I am certain that you meet all of the requirements as none ever shipped with anything below that.
