Console is freaking out - launching tuncfgd every ten seconds

No idea how long it's been doing this, but I peeked into my console the other day, and discovered a full log(4000+) full of messages like this:

4/17/08 11:53:30 PM	tuncfgd[19416]	tuncfg: already running, use 'killall tuncfg; tuncfg' to restart it	
4/17/08 11:53:30 PM	com.apple.launchd[1]	(tuncfgd[19416]) Exited with exit code: 1
repeating over and over. Does anyone have any idea what may have caused this?
