Compared to my old Merom MBP, the new multitouch trackpads on the penryn MBP is less responsive when I boot into windows via boot camp. The cursor always seems to get "stuck" moving either horizontally and vertically, and tends to resist moving in a diagonal direction. The same "stickiness" occurs in the OS selection screen (when you boot up and hold the option key), but it does not occur when using windows via VMWare.

Is this a driver problem that is affecting anyone else's Multitouch MBPs, or is it just me? I haven't tried an external mouse with it yet because I don't currently have one available.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

I have not had that problem so I can't recommend a fix, but my trackpad works exactly the same in either OS.

Hi
I had problems with cursor (and sound breaking up) while DVD was beeing accessed under windows. Problem was, windows forced PIO mode on DVD drive, after uninstalling IDE channel drivers and rebooting problems were gone.
Hope that helps.
