Mount Firewire HDD that is already plugged in?

I have one external HDD that has two partitions, and sometimes I'll unmount one partition while leaving the TM back-up mounted. Is there an easy way to remount the previously unmounted partition, or is my only option to unmount TM and start from scratch? Thanks for any info!

you can do it from disk utility

Open Disk Utility, select the volume, and click Mount on the toolbar.
