keep loosing network printer

My Brother HL-5250DN laser printer on my network will not stay connected to my Macbook.

I install the printer and everything works great. But next time I am on the network it won't print. It says printer is ready but when I print a doc. it never makes it to the printer. It will show 0% to as much as 16% complete but never prints (or even wakes up the printer).

I have to uninstall the printer and reinstall the printer and it works again ....till I shut down and I'm on again.:(


Anyone have any help for this?

Can you ping the printer? What router do you have? Do you have it setup with DHCP or Static IP? We just need a little more details on how your network is setup..
