I have a video file from my camcorder equal to 20 gb. What software can i use to create a dvd disc. tried one step dvd (idvd) it takes 48 minutes to encode 30 minutes of video. this is a 90 minute video. Not to sure if it will compress it to fit on a single dvd.

iDVD is probably the best bet. Sounds about right for the encode time. What Mac do you have?

imac 2.8ghz intel 4gb memory. didnt want to wait 3 hrs to encode only to find it doesnt fit onto a single dvd disc

iDVD should give you an estimate. But basically size is not the important point it is length. Aim for 90 minutes per DVD but anything up to 120 minutes should be doable. Don't go over, the quality will tank.
