hey guys,

I was wondering when you are a quiet room and your MBP is on your lap or on the desk in front of you, do you hear anything? I mean, there is this high pitched electrical whine that I hear and its pretty annoying since I'm in my room to study or something like that.....is it normal? Should I take it back to Apple? Would it be a fan?

There's a constant quiet noise yes, but nothing intrusive. It's only when the MBP is working hard and the fan starts up that it gets fairly noisy.
