Hi
As per the title I found this file that was 600mb.
Google told me I didnt need it. So I deleted it. (Error!)
Anyway I do - as skype now crashes.
The file was pcmwave and i think it was the alex voice.
How do I get it back - I have the leopard disk
thanks
tom

i have Skype and Leopard but i'm having a hard time finding that PCM wave file you deleted. what folder was it in?

Hi
Its in /System/Library/Speech/Voices/Alex.SpeechVoice/Contents/Resources.
Any suggestions
thanks
tom

Well, since deleting that just broke the Alex voice completely. Try deleting the whole thing. IE, delete /System/Library/Speech/Voices/Alex.SpeechVoice.

Right now if a program tries to reference the voice it will start loading and then crash when key data isn't there. But is you delete it out right it won't try to load the "corrupt" voice and should work just fine.
