Sorry if this has been dicsussed before, but I noticed that in Leopard, when you have 2 or more users logged in at the same time and try to shut down, you are asked for one of the user's username and password. Cool right? If you type it in correctly and hit enter, the computer shuts down fine. But if you try to actually click the "shut down" button, a window will come up saying that invalid username or password was entered. Try it out.

Interesting... I am the only user on my machines so have never tried this. But sure enough, I get the same message. 
I already did before I posted this. Posting things wrong about OSX is just what we do around here
That is normal... i dont want other users to shut down the computer while im logged in... usualy i have a lot of thing open when i leave... when im done i log out normaly...
So without my name and pass it will not shutdown... i like this feature
I don't think you read my post... I said that when you type in your username and password and hit enter the computer shuts down fine. But if you type in the info and click the "shut down" button, it says your name or password is incorrect. Try it

Now you can't argue with logic like this
What happes if two people are logged in, and you open a terminal window and type:

sudo shutdown now
Most likely the machine will just shutdown, closing all other programs from the other user as well.
You need to enter the administrator password, which is the same requirement when you do it through the GUI. You might need to use "-h" flag as well.
