I have a powermac G4 that is stuck booting from a CD (drive genius) and I can't get it to stop. Is there anyway for me to bypass this or select the drive I want it to boot with?

Any advice would be great! Thanks

Asumming that your HDD is ok to boot from, push AND hold the power button on the front of the tower, until it shuts down. Then start it up again while holding down the left mouse button, which will force the optical drive door to open, thereby denying the machine the option of booting from the cd. You may get the flashing question mark for a few minutes, until it finds your HDD to boot from.

Also if you hold the option key during bootup, you can choose your start up disk. (whether it be internal, external..whatever.)
