Available video cards for pre-2008 Mac Pro?

I just bought a pre-2008 Mac Pro. I've tried searching both on Google and in this forum for the answer, but was unsuccessful.

Is there a list of compatible video cards that my system can use? Please help.

As far as I'm aware the list includes the nVidia 7300, 8800 GT and the ATI Radeon x1900xt

which is better the 8800gt or the 1900xt?

The HD2600 XT also works in pre-2008 Mac Pros.

For professional apps, go with the x1900 XT for now. For everything else, go with the 8800 GT.
