I just read an article by Jim Cramer over at thestreet.com and he talked about Apple's new application "Conversation" does anybody know anything about this?

Quote: Cramer also said that a new Mac product, Conversation, will bring Apple to the forefront of instant messaging.

Not much but sounds promising. I'm waiting for a really good alternative to aMSN (which I just don't like) and Adium (which disconnects a lot for me).

We'll see what future brings :p

I'm actually very happy with iChat/Chax except that almost nobody I IM with uses it...

I think he was talking about iChat. I just saw him on CNBC talking about apple conversation, and I was like WTF??? But after he started talking about it, I realized it was just iChat.

They refer to Conversation as a product. Either it's a new piece of hardware (unlikely) or some iChat makeover for the iPhone/iPod Touch.

I wonder what improvements or changes he was referring to iChat/Conversation.

I know!!!

I read about his comments just now and had the same reaction (WTF????)

So I did some digging, and found the following relevant links:
  • Nokia makes an application called Conversation for their Symbian-based phones

Not sure whether Jimbo's got his facts straight or what. I can't see why Apple would either resurrect a name they've used in the past for a new application/product, especially when iChat is well known, and Nokia is currently using the same name (and Apple does not need anymore name duplication problems right now).

What does everyone else think?

Please note that the article misquoted Jim, and he was merely referring to iChat's existing capabilities...thanks!
