How to screencast in iMovie???

Here, here, and here (see comments) people are all saying that somehow with iMovie, you can record a movie of your screen (like a screencast) and export it. How? I have iMovie (iLife '08) and iMovie HD (iLife '06) downloaded. Does anyone know how to do it? Or, can you point me to a tutorial?

PS. I know about iShowU (don't like it), and Snapz Pro (too expensive)...
 
the first site is talking about imovie as just an editor. The other links weren't working but imovie cant do it on its own. you need another app to do the actual capturing, then you can edit the footage in imovie.

No, like I said, read the comments - more than a few people say imovie will capture video from your desktop for you. Oh, and fixed that 2nd link.
 
again i went through all the comments and they're all talking about imovie as an editor. Maybe i'm missing one paste in some of the comments that say it.

I'll second Jing. It does work very well. But it is mostly focused on creating a Flash file which you can't edit.

:) That's why I like MacRumors Forums: Nice, Informative, and Willing to help through headaches even when it's just a no-brainer.
Thanks for the suggestions! I've also found that ScreenFlow and Screenium are nice apps (I like ScreenFlow the best).
