I keep getting a "SIMBL Error" when safari starts. It says videobox plugin not compatible. I have looked every place I can think of but cant find where to kill a plugin?

Yes, These are all from the /library/internet plug-ins folder;

Disabled Plug-Ins
Flash Player.plugin
ContentUploaderPlugin.plugin
flashplayer.xpt
iPhotoPhotocast.plugin
Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.webplugin
Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.plugin
npdivx.xpt
npUpload.xpt
DivXBrowserPlugin.plugin
JavaPluginCocoa.bundle
NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave
QuickTime Plugin.webplugin
QuickTime Plugin.plugin
VerifiedDownloadPlugin.plugin

And the user name/library/internet plug-ins is empty. Here is the text of the error dialog;

Safari 3.1.1 (v5525.18) has not been tested with the plugin VideoboxSafariPlugin.bundle (null) (v1.1). As a precaution, it has not been loaded. Please contact the plugin developer (not the SIMBL author) for further information.

Did you try a Spotlight search for that bundle?

SIMBL stuff often goes in a folder called InputManager that would be in one of your Library folders.

Yea, I tried spotlight to no use. Weird, its almost like I need to uninstall safari just to get rid of this pop up error. When I clear the error dialog safari starts at a blank page and refuses to load my homepage until I select off browser bar.

A little more research suggests that it should be in <your user name>/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins

Any luck there?

go to Library/application support/ remove both folders leech & SMBL and it will go away.
