Macbook pro display and rainbow colours!

Alright, basically I was browsing Youtube and went for my hotspot for expose as always. right when i did it everything on the screen turned rainbowy and un responsive. Everything was all sorts of different colours and the computer went nuts. Does anyone have any idea what happend and should I bring it into Apple for this. It's the first time its done this and I havnt seen it since.
 
It sounds like a graphic glitch rather than a hardware problem since it has only happened once. I would only take it into Apple if it is a reoccurring issue or a hardware problem. Did you end up having to restart the computer or did it recover on it's own? And if you did have to restart it, did it give you a message to the extent of "Mac OS X quit unexpectedly"?
 
Well the problem only happend today. It was also on battery power if that makes a difference. I had to do a hard reset and osx gave me no error warning or message what so ever
