genius bar removed shared section in finder??

I took my MacBook into the Genius bar - they had it for an hour and replaced the topcase because of a factory defect. when i got it back, all my firefox passwords were missing and my shared section in finder was gone.

i went to finder preferences and it is checked, so i know that it is enabled. and yes, there are network drives i'm connected to.

please help!
 
the Shared section in Finder's sidebar only appears when it 'sees' a network. is File Sharing enabled in Sharing Preferences? have you tried relaunching Finder? option right click on its dock icon.
