In our advertising agency, one of our graphic designer's station has her Adobe Suite going corrupt every other week. When we try to reinstall the operating disc from the Tiger DVD it won't boot off of the disc. I tried to boot off of disc warrior which has worked on other stations with Tiger and it won't boot off of that disc either. We took the computer to Apple Care and within a month of getting it back it is doing the same thing.

My theory is that the hard drive is bad and the pieces of the software is landing on the bad sector. Does anyone know if this is correct?????

Surely you would still be able to boot of the CD if there was a problem with the HDD?

You are correct...

A hard drive issue would only explain the software corruction issue, not booting off of the disc problem.

thanks for your reply!!!!

Ram is a good starting point, what is the best way to test it?

Just replace it or is there a way we can test the ram that is in there?
