I'm runnin Vista (SP1) Ultimate x86 on my MBP. I just installed Age of Empires III, updated it to the latest patch, and it runs awesome. However, and I'm sure this is boot camp's fault, when I'm running the game, the fans speed up to 6000 rpm. My MBP doesn't even get that hot during the game, and the fans never speed up that fast under Sim City 4.

Has anyone else experienced this? It's really annoying. I wish Apple would put a little more effort in their Boot Camp drivers.

Ok, so oddly enough, I maxed out the graphics settings (I do mean max., everything to highest, all other goodies enabled) and now the fans slow to a normal speed (the same speeds I get in Sim City 4), and still plays smooth as butter.

SO! If your MBP is having high fan speed issues, just max out the graphics settings!:p
