Wow, I really want some of those...

Except there's the problem you just stated.

This is comforting though:

My only worry about enterprise drives losing the passive cooling fins is that many servers and storage bays have active cooling (fans) to keep the drive cool. Since the Mac Pro is (I believe) passive cooling, such a Velociraptor might run too hot for comfort and safety...
