When recently purchasing my first macbook I also bought myself the airport express as it seamed like the easiest compromise to keeping my old desktops 5.1 computer speakers i have and yet remaining wireless.

However I'm struggling to find any sort of adapter out there that will give me the 3 audio ports I need. I thought it would be easy tracking one down as its both an optical and stereo output on the A.E but I cant seam to find one.

anybody got any solutions??

having 5.1 audio isn't a priority, just so that they all work is.

Cheers, ShaunC

The Express won't stream 5.1 anyway, audio is sent to it in 2.0 encrypted Apple Lossless. The most you could do is maybe a mini-jack stereo splitter to feed the fronts and backs. There's no good way to feed center/LFE unless there are actual center/LFE channels going in, so...

cheers, yeah its frustrating because at the minute i have 3 out of 5 speakers sat around basically gathering dust

is there anyway of improving the delay on airfoil? its pretty usless when it comes to youtube etc
