Hi All,

I'm expecting my MBP in the next few days and was wondering about using the Migration Assistant - is this the best way of copying across files/programs/settings from my current MB ?

If so, am I right in assuming the following:

1. Purchase Firewire cable (6pin to 6pin)
2. Connect Macs together with (new) MBP powered on
3. Boot MB (source) into Target Disk Mode
4. Launch the Migration Assistant on MBP and select "Transfer from another Mac"
5. Point it to the Firewire disk which should have been recognised as a drive on the MBP.

Does this sound about right (especially, is that the correct Firewire cable) ?

Cheers.
