I have a 20" Aluminum iMac, and just a few days ago after I ejected a CD, it just stopped letting me put any other disks in it. They get about half way and stop is if there is a wall stopping it. Jiggling the disk about in there doesn't help.
I have tried all the various ways of removing stuck CD's (Even though there isn't one in there, perhaps it thinks there is...)
The eject button in disk utility is disabled. When I hold down the mouse button on startup, I can hear the mechanics in it moving as if it was ejecting a disk, but they still don't go in afterwards. Using drutil in terminal does the same as holding the mouse buttons on startup.
Does anybody know what the problem could be? I'm really hoping it hasn't screwed up and I'll have to get it repaired.
