It should be far inferior, however most reports seem to show that the 8800 in the Mac Pro really isn't improving things by leaps and bounds. could be that it hasn't been optomized much yet, who knows.

I suppose in some instances you're CPU-bound in non-MP aware games.. and yes, it probably does have some to do with optimization, but you're not going to see a five fold improvement or anything.. since it's not *that* much faster.

As for things like Aperature/motion, nope, but we are talking games....

The FBDIMMs aren't helping things, either, I guess.

The bigger problem is that the drivers are not optimized for the 8800gt. Sometimes even the 2900 is faster.......sad
