i currently own a MBP 2.2 ghz its the one right before the peryn processor i have a quick question is there any plug in or program out there that will allow me to do a 3 finger swipe so i can do next page or previous page on firefox, safari etc. thanks.

No, this is implemented in hardware, using the same chip used in the iPhone's touchscreen—hardware not present in your MBP.

No, this feature can't be enabled in the "older" MBP models.

Can anyone confirm this? I've only seen one teardown of the Penryn MBP and it doesn't mention a broadcom bcm5974 controller. Plus I heard that control was not quite as fluid as the MBAs, making me think it was perhaps software emulation.

makes my Penryn purchase all the sweeter...mmmm.

(I just know there's gonna be blu ray around the corner and i'll be pounding my head against the wall)
