Hello, I have bought a pair of Alesis Monitor One Mk2 Passive Studio Monitors and haven't a cluee about what amp I should buy for them.. I have £200 or $400 to spend... can any body shead some light.. Cheers. S

I've had good experience with the Samson Servo range - and they're very inexpensive too.

I can't say I know about much else in terms of 'studio grade' power amps at that price range, my knowledge is limited to Active monitors, and really realy high-grade power amps - not the kinda stuff you're looking for.

I think the RA300 is the one for me, at least until I upgrade my monitors.. thanks

I've never used Alesis' range of studio amps, but given some (very) recent events which have taken place RE my Samson monitor speakers, and also considering how good my Alesis kit has been, I would strongly recommend Alesis over Samson.

I'd say go for the RA300. If it's anything to go by my other Alesis kit, it'll be fantastically reliable, well made and sound fantastic.
