Just for some clarification:

- the "front" is where the part closest to your when you're working on your MBP/MB (ie. where the LED is, or the button to open the laptop, or the infrared, etc., whereas the "back" is where the screen part and keyboard/computer part connect

- the "top" is where the :apple: logo is and the "bottom" is where the battery is

All is relative as if the laptop bag is standing up, not laying down.

Mine goes into an Oakley padded laptop backpack on its end, Apple side away from my back. But before I tuck away, it gets stored in a sweet Ghostbusters laptop sleeve that my wife made for me.

I put mine in front up and top away from me. I'll bet that this is the most common practice.

I do this too. That's odd. I've never thought about it and I guess everyone does it :p

I'm using a Samsonite bag I purchased for an old Vaio laptop nearly 6 years ago.

It's not a glove-like fit but it should be solid enough I think.

Whichever way I happen to be holding it and the bag at the time... Really not going to make a huge difference either way.

Hey, I got a couple of questions...

Does it matter?
An why is it relevant?

I used to put my PB Ti in front down, because I was worried about the hinges. With my MBP, I thought it should go in Front up. since I was more worried about the latch and optical drive than the hinge.

Never paid much attention to which way the "top" was facing..
