Repair leopard mouse pointer/cursor?

hey

i was using office2004 last night, and it went a bit odd, and since then whenever my cursor displays the "wait" image. it's an ugly old looking os9 one. it looses it shadow, and is not the proper leopard one.

i have searched trying to figure out how to repair it, but i am lost. i am hoping someone knows how i could possibly refresh the cursor cache, or replace/restore the original cursor images.
