I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.9 on an Intel Based Imac and upon startup without holding the "option" key it automatically boots up to the firmware password screen, even though in the startup disk menu in preferences the OS X is selected as the boot option.
Also when i disable the firmware on the Mac it boots up and forces you to select the hard drive to boot from doesnt boot to the primary boot device, ive imaged this Mac with the same image as another which worked fine but i cannot get it to boot straight to the login screen? This Mac is has multiple users so the firmware needs to be active and not everyone can have the password so im wondering if anyone knows a way around this? to get it to boot properly?
