hey,
so i have a dvd with a program, has a.dmg, when i try to verify it gives me an input output error, i have skip the verification before and have started and completed installation but most components of the program suite do not install. the dvd is a little scratched, i tried to copy it in a dual burner and it failed.

can i buff the dvd with a skip doctor or something of that nature? i have done it to movies but never software. or possibly a different brand of recordable dvd.

any suggestions, im going nuts.

My first thought is that the disk is damaged. If you can't completely install the program from the disk, that's a pretty good indication. I can't really help you with buffing the disk, as I've never tried it, but I would suggest looking for a download for the program, or someone with a complete installation.
