iPod touch Jailbreak Question For a Noob

There are two solutions, one is easy, and the other is harder

The first is to find a Repo (Source) that contains the app you want
The second is to use SSH or an application in installer called AFPd to connect to the ipod from your computer and manually install it

To do the first
1. find the source that has it
2. go into installer
3. click sources at the bottom
4. click edit
5. click add
6. enter the address
7. press ok
8. wait for the sources to refresh
9. find the app under install
10. install it

To do the second (assuming you are on a mac using OS 10.5)(set your ipod to autolock never)
1. go to installer
2. find the app called AFPd and install it
3. go back to the home screen and launch AFPd
4. make sure that both the switches say on
5. if your computer is on the same network as your ipod go to 6a if not go to 6b
6a. open finder on the mac
7a. click on the My Hacked iPhone in the Shared area of the sidebar (go to step 8)
6b. open finder on the mac, click go, click connect to server, and enter the ipod's ip address (found in AFPd)
7b. go to step 8
8. click connect as and enter root as the username and alpine as the password
9. go into the folder Root File System
10. go to the folder Applications
11. place the unzipped application in there
