Hey all.
I have two Macs that I mainly use. A 733 (mod'd to 2Ghz) Digital Audio G4 and a MacBook (core 2). Back in the day I had a 160 GB hard drive, that I tried attaching to the G4. It came up as 137 and I figure "okay", I'll just use the 137 of the 160. No luck (of course).
So I formatted it on the G4 and it came up as a 31.5GB drive. I then got the laptop (which should be able to handle over 137GB) and tried to reformat it to get the other 137 GB of space back.
No luck. Formatting the drive just brings it back as 31.5. verified & repaired disk, no change. Everything says it's okay. Tried zeroing the data out. no luck. Ran disk warrior on it and it rebuilt the directory, but it was 31.5 GB again.
Is there any way that anybody knows of getting that space back from the drive, or is the drive completely toast now?
Thanks for your help.
