On The Nickel, over there....
Hi,
Before I do anything stupid, I want to make sure this won't cause unforeseen trouble:
I've downloaded and installed a few things from the web, like iStat Pro, Free Solitaire and Coconut Identity Card. They're nice apps and I want to keep them. In the Downloads folder of Finder, I have .zip files for each of these apps. Can I trash the .zip folders? Will I still have the apps and their functionality if I do? Am I just being over-anal in wanting to clear up my Downloads folder?
Thanks for your help!
Morod

It's fine to delete .zip files, yes. :) Once you've extracted something from the .zip archive, it's there on your hard drive for good. Deleting the .zip won't make anything disappear.
