Hi, ok was just partitioning my iMac with bootcamp, I guess I shouldn't have been doing so much others stuff at the time but my computer first froze for a while then went back to normal however then I got the dreaded kernel panic while it was still partitioning! Basically it seems to have subtracted the 32GB I set aside for windows, but there's no other partition and no sign of that 32GB?? When I go back into bootcamp it is willing to make a partition of the mac partition but no sign of the 32GB.

Any idea how I can get it back without losing anything?

make sure you partition the drive by booting up from the cd. why bootcamp gives you the option to do it with os x is a mystery to me, as it doesn't work.
