no video, only text overlay when exporting quicktime from imovie

Hi, I have a movie that I imported to iMovie to put some text overlay on. After completing this task, I export using quicktime with default settings but my movie is a black screen with the text overlays showing up when they are supposed to... any ideas?

I have attached a screenshot of my iMovie session.
