I didnt know where to post this but my modem is getting out of control. It is at the point where I have to walk to it, unplug it and my router, and wait a minute. There are stretches where I literally have to do this every 5 minutes or LESS. I am fed up! What is causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Well, I don't think this is a Mac OS X issue. It sounds like either the modem is crap and needs replacing, or your internet connection has become very unstable. Probably time to call your ISP.

Assuming your Internet settings are correct on your Mac, this sounds like you have a bad modem.

You might want to contact your ISP to get a replacement.

Also, you could always try another computer, such as a PC, to verify it is the modem and not the Mac.
