Ok, forgive me if this has been asked, I search for it but didn't see it...

I have the latest version of Boot Camp 2.1. I am also using parallels (Version 3.X I think, the one that came with the MacUpdate Bundle).

The question is-has anyone with similar configuration installed XP Service pack 3? If so, please report! Any issues? Do I even NEED SP 3 at this time?

I am just wondering if the possible headaches are worth it.

Thanks for reading!

I use my Boot Camp partition with SP3 installed on it with Parallels. As long as Boot Camp 2.1 is installed on your Windows partition, you can boot into Windows and update to SP3 and there and continue using it with Parallels.

I had a problem when I originally did it because I upgraded to SP3 through Parallels AND without installing Boot Camp 2.1 resulting in an unbootable Windows partition (although it still worked in Parallels). But if you won't have that problem if you just install Boot Camp 2.1 (while booted natively into Windows) and then upgrade to SP3 (while also being booted natively into Windows).
