Hi...
I had taken a video out from my camera... it is quite dark...
Which is the best software which i can use to increASE the brightness in the video

imovie

import the video and then in the middle click on the shaded circle that says video adjustments. Then just drag the brightness.

Imovie not working too well .... the brightness needs to be increased more... any other software... even if it is a paid software.... a goood software.... the clip is quite imp for me

You can't just create light in a scene that never had light to begin with. The data just isn't there. You could try also increasing the contrast but I doubt that will help much.

Ya he is right. Did you shoot this outside or inside and how dark is the original video. Normaly if you put too much brightness onto a dark clip, it won't look natural.

i did shoot it inside.....
i can see very less in the video....

less what do you mean?
idk what to tell you if the original video is very dark.
try messing around with the exposure, contrast, brightness, and saturation in imovie.

it is something you can reshoot?

i tried fiddling around... did imrove a bit... not too great either....... is there no other software... na something which i might not be able to get again as its my salsa dance video........
