iOS AVAudioPlayer live streaming

Hi all
Is it possible to have live streaming using AVAudioPlayer's initWithContentOfURL [iphone os sdk 3.1.3]? Prior to iphone os sdk 3.0 this is not possible AFAIK
I am looking for a way to have live streaming for both audio and video.
Any idea??
