My trackpad is recessed into the case more at different places on the trackpad and i noticed if you tap on the trackpad it makes this noise.

Is it meant to make that noise or is something loose?

Note: When i am tapping on it the trackpad isn't clicking so thats not what the noise is.

This is the tension screw found when removing the battery. It got loose and must be tightened.

You have to take it to Apple because the screw type is a bit awkward.

This should fix the issue.

I see thanks for the replies I will give them a ring sometime about it.

Are all the trackpads recessed more in different places?

Like the left side seems to be recessed more than the right and the top middle seems to be more recessed than to the left of the top etc

It should be the same, usually. But when that screw get's loose, everything goes crazy.
