OK... here's a quick comparison between SGP Steinheil AF and Powersupport (PS) antiglare.

I put both of SGP AF and PS antiglare on a single iPad - on the left is the SGP AF, right side is the PS antiglare.

100% zoom in on an icon. See the difference in the text. With PS antiglare (on the right) you can still see the pixels, SGP AF just blurs them away. You can imagine how much difference this will make, especially you're reading a PDF/ebook.

I think PS antiglare is the winner here.

Can you reflect a lamp off of a dark screen and get a photo to show us? I'd like to see the difference in the specular (mirror) reflection.

Thanks - Greg

Sorry but I've already removed the SGP AF and covered my iPad with PS antiglare, so no more pictures will be available.

I checked the glare though, when I had them side-by-side. Both do suppress the reflection quite well, but the PS antiglare shows a bit sharper reflection than the SGP AF. SGP AF does a real good job at suppressing reflection - by sacrificing clarity.

Guessing here that the SGP SQ is the replacement for the PS?

Did not see the PS at the sgpstore.com

Hmm, if you have to zoom in to it 100% to notice the difference, perhaps its not that significant

Well the difference is actually very significant. Maybe I should have taken a few more photos...

Nice comparison. Just what I needed to make my mind up. Now I wonder if you have a comparison of the PS vs. naked.

I agree, it would be awesome to see what it looks like with nothing on with the same kind of closeup comparison.

I hate that I got the Griffin antiglare filter right before PS released theirs.

Oh well, maybe next month I'll buy the new one *sigh*

Hmmm... figures that my SGP just came in the mail yesturday. Its at home waiting my arrival. I checked every comparison thread here and couldn't decern a huge difference. Of course after i make the decision and buy it someone goes and makes an actual useful thread. Damn...

Given the reputation SGP is making for themselves around here (search the forums), I would return it and get the PS.

By popular demand...

Here are few more pictures. :)
First three compare glare/reflection among SGP, PS and iPad screen itself.

1. SGP vs naked iPad screen, SGP on the left.

See the reflection on the right? That's myself taking this picture. It looks blurry because I focused on the screen.

2. Naked iPad screen vs PS, PS on the right.

3. SGP vs PS

Both remove glare quite well, but add some foggy effect to the screen. You should be able to see the difference in color between SGP and PS. Check the thumbnails below if you can't see any difference.

And here are more comparison - SGP vs PS.

4. SGP vs PS - Text in Zinio

5. SGP vs PS - Images and Text.

It's no doubt that PS are the best. They put a lot of research into making their screen protectors and making sure they are super clear. It's been like this for years...
And if you want the best, you gotta pay.

OP thanks for the hard work.

Nice comparison, just wish it had been around before I had ordered mine. :) I had an SGP on mine but ended up taking it off due to the reduction in clarity. I am not sure I will order a PS, might just keep the screen naked from now on.

I ordered a SGP skin a while ago from eBay, but it got "lost in the mail", and so they refunded me $10 of the $20 I paid, and are supposed to send me a new one. I guess if it's really horrible I'll just lose $10 on it and get a PS one. I really don't think it will be THAT bad though... We'll see

Thanks OP!!! Awesome comparisons. Either you work for PS and you did some great photoshop, or this is just the best screen protector. I'll go with the PS antiglare. Thanks again!
