I assume everyone's doing the free 32bit one? Noticed m 13" i7 benched like 6900 or so on 32bit and 7498 or something on 64bit.

I've been lurking here for a couple of months and I finally had to make an account, mainly because of your dock! Amazing, where do I get it?

Also, amazing scores! I'm waiting for mine to arrive... Same as yours!

This is what I use for my dock customization. I'm a neat freak. :p

What I'm more interested in is why the scores are higher on the 17" vs 15" with same specs... That in itself is confusing to me.

The 17 runs cooler since it's bigger therefore allowing the processor to work harder for longer.

The 15" was clocked 2.2 and scored 11000, the 17" was clocked 2.3 and achieved ~11300. The solution is simple :)

The Geekbench scores I've been seeing for stock 2.2 15" are around 9k-10k.... So I was definitely surprised when 11K kept coming up for the results of my MBP.

This depends on which Geekbench program you run. The paid (64 bit) one gives better numbers than the free (32 bit) one.

It varies on if you have things open while testing. I have to test mine again with everything closed.

What's the difference between the 32 and 64 bit geekbench? Why do you have to pay to view the 64 bit geekbench results, and the 32 bit is free?

Do you get a better score with 64 bit geekbench?

One runs as a 32 bit app and another as a 64 bit app. You need to pay (I think it's about $20) to get a license code that will let the 64 bit app run.

the things people will do for a higher number to post onto the internet.
does geekbench have any other use?

your mbp is still the same. :p

This post disgusts me; only because my high end 2010 MBP with a GB score of 6600 now gets smoked by a 13" MBP.

nevermind .. downloaded it

32bit geekbench score - 10,410

was hoping for better ... specs are in sig .. only thing slow on this is the 5400rpm hdd
