EDIT: They now say it is compatible with the Bumper! Pic Below

I think it makes the phone look pretty classy. I wonder how protective it will actually be, though?

Hmm. Those do look nice. I'm really liking the case/cover benefits that come with the squared off construction.

It won't offer any protection at all but sure is pretty.
They have taken notes from Steve Jobs. Looks over form.

Hopefully SGP fixes the cutout problems in their clear films so I can pick this up.

That is very cool.

I have some leather around. What would you use to attach it to the back? Some light rubber cement?

I'd say try Gorilla Glue and report back with your results :p

Hey thanks for the links, lorenwade! I think i like the sgp version cuz of it's douchy apple logo cutout! But great links for others who need the protection now!

I got some window cling paper off ebay. I used it to make my own skins for my 3G. It's completely removable and reusable and very durable. Sticks perfectly, but of course there's zero residue when removing it. I think adhering the leather to the cling paper would work great. Then you can remove/re-use it all you want. I actually have some faux leather fabric lying around, so I'm gonna try it out. ;)

Hahahaha! I'm personally not a fan of leather. I usually buy every other option before I even consider leather. :p

That looks great! I like it more than an invisible shield bc it blocks the writing on the lower part of the phone. Is it just me or does the word "iPhone" look cheap and cheesy. I just want the :apple: logo. :)

I think it looks amazing, and it would be a great way to make a black iphone white on the back, but it seems like it would peel at the corners really bad from going in and out of pockets and things like that.

And the white would get dirty.

A lot of these skins are looking nice lately. Too bad they're skins. They're annoying to put, especially if you like it perfectly, and you can't really reuse.

That skin is a luxurious look for the phone. Someone will come out with kitschy ones, like a contact paper fake wood grain look, for using the phone in the den.

I really love the looks of the Skin Guard and I'm considering buying one of these. I like the idea of leather on the backside, a protector on the front and perhaps one of Apples bumpers around the edges.

This way the phone should be protected great!

Could you post some images here if you do buy one of these Skin Guards? Perhaps with a bumper on as well.

With skins like these, if you drop your phone, technically, you can shatter the glass and not even know about it because it's hidden by the skin. Possible? Just saying.

Conversely, this would also be perfect to cover up a shattered back without paying Apple $199 to replace the phone!

That is a valid point; I wonder how thick this skin will be, however. Leather in general has good shock absorption from the cases I've used, so maybe this will provide enough of a cushion to prevent shattering?
