Hey guys. I'm just curious to know if anyone has any info on this.
Incase you didn't know, the White iPhone 4 was reportedly just a hair thicker than the Black iPhone 4. Just by a hair thickness amount. Not even a milimeter,

Im Still debating which Color iPhone 4S to Pre-order, and Like I said, Im curious to know if anyone knows the answer. Is the White iPhone 4S Still thicker?

Here are some pictures on the internet.

This picture Below Stats it is NOT thicker. But the one above..states differently.

The white iPhone 4 is not supposed to be thicker. Its a manufacturing defect and most of the later white iPhone 4's are the same thickness.

Looks more like the light reflecting off the white one just makes it look bigger because of the glow. Either that or that one just happened to be thicker on accident.

Didn't know it was a Manufacture Defect!
Thanks for the info.

so were there any problems reported about the white paint having not enough UV protection, de-colouring, or camera/sensor being affected?? (for the iPhone 4 obviously, not 4S)

I am also deciding on black vs white.

EDIT: To remove smiley because it is a sad day today.

I'm pretty sure with the April 2011 release of the white version every fault with the white was fixed by Apple. So you can expect the white iPhone 4S to be issue-free. I will be buying a white iPhone 4S.

I will be more likely to get a white iPhone 4S-teve then. thanks

I suspect those phones in the first pic were slightly different lengths from the camera lens, or something. Maybe that white one wasn't an Apple white one - there were many kits around in those days to turn a black phone white, and I'm betting that some of those did not use the same tolerances that Apple used.

That said, my 4 was black, my 4S will be white. Ordering at 3AM.
