I've realized that while composing a mail in Mail app there are no options for making text bold, italic, underlined etc., as you can do in Outlook.

Am I missing something here, or is it actually not possible to do? Sometimes I would wish to underline certain words in the e-mail I'm sending, or bolden them or whatever, but can't.

Any ideas?

Oh, didn't even think of that - it does work!

So there is no way to actually "enable" buttons for these commands, to make them appear in the New Message toolbar (like in Word or Pages)? (I'm talking about buttons that you would simply click on).

You can have a floating window for fonts. Just click the font button at the top of a draft mail.
