I have a pair of beats by dr dre (solo). I can use the microphone as the main one on the mac os, but when i switch to windows it uses the built in speakers by default and it dosent recognize the mic on the ipod headphones or the beats. How do I get the mic on the beats to work while on windows? Is there some special drivers?

May be possible

I have a MacBook Pro so I'm not exactly the Windows expert. Firstly, some older Windows computers are simply not built with the capacity to take the speakers and mic together.

If it does work, then you would need to go to Control Panel and at the bottom, there should be something called Sounds and Audio Devices. I'm not really sure where to go from there, but you can manipulate it so that it will take in the input from the headphone mic and not the computer mic.

Hope this helps.
