I bought Need for Speed the Run and when I try to launch it it says

"Detected AMD Radeon driver version 11.1. The recommended driver version is 11.7. Please update drivers at http://www.amd.com/ before playing this game."

So I updated the drivers

1. AMD.com
2. Clicked on Support & Drivers.
3. Component Category: MAC Graphics, Product Line: Apple Boot Camp, Product Model: MacBook Pro, Operating System: Windows 7 - 64 Bit
4. Then I click on View Results and it takes me here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/bootcamp-win7.aspx
5. There's only one result, version #8.812.

So I download that, install it, it tells me it installed fine, but when I try to run the game it gives me the same error. What do I do? Thanks.

P.S. I know there are a bunch of threads around here like this, thing is none of them really have any solutions.

Have you tried installing the mobile driver, not the boot camp one? Be sure to uninstall the current one you have first before installing this one:

Do you know which driver it is we have to remove first? I see lots of drivers, but none that indicate they are AMD Radeon drivers..

I know this is kind of an old thread, but I am currently having the same issue.

One of the 'Top Recommended Videos' at the bottom of the page should show you how. If you don't have an ATi/AMD driver listed, then you might just be running a windows generic driver at which point you don't have to uninstall anything.

Wow that was fast, thanks!
More on topic:
I searched a little further and this link has a more detailed answer: http://forum.macworld.se/topic/148228-detected-amd-radeon-driver-version-111-nfs-the-run/ (I know it's a Swedish page, but the answer is at the bottom in English).

I tried it, but with beta driver 12.6, since the beta for 12.1 is not available anymore. That didn't work, but I'll try some other drivers tomorrow.
