Apple brings Siri-like voice commands to iPod with the help of their earphones. You double click on the inline remote and speak your commands. More than just 'Play' or 'Pause' but actual control such as 'Play my workout playlist' or 'Play Beggars Banquet'. It wouldn't need a network connection because they are preset commands.
